Children's Choir Registration

ENROLL YOUR CHILD TO SING IN OUR CHOIR!

Blessed Sacrament is fortunate to have two children’s choirs, and we welcome all new and returning choristers to sing with us during the 2014-25 school year! We will have a joint rehearsal, Open House and Pizza Party for both choirs on Thursday, September 4th from 5:00-6:30pm in the Sacristy and Community Room. Our Children’s Choir is for ages K-Grade 2, and they rehearse roughly every other week on Thursdays, 4:15-5:00pm, and sing at the 9:30am Mass once a month. Our Youth Choir is for Grades 3-8, and they rehearse every Thursday from 5:00-6:00pm and sing every week at the 9:30am Mass. For more information about either choir and how to enroll, please contact Erica Johnson or Susan Glancy at music@blessedsacrament.org  We would love to have your child join us!

Parish Youth Summer Trips Info Session - Nov. 2, 7pm

We have two summer trips available to high school youth each summer. One is to University of Notre Dame for NDVision, a high school retreat/conference to help teens discover their God-given gifts and how they can use them in the world. We've had many teens participate in this trip twice!

The other trip is to The Romero Center in Camden, NJ. We focus on direct service to the poor and volunteer at a different site each day while spending the evenings learning about Catholic Social Teaching through fun activities. Adult chaperones are needed as well!

Come to the Info Session on Nov. 2 at the School Cafeteria and hear from past participants, see pictures, ask questions, get more details on each trip.

Please contact Margaret Manning at youthminister@blessedsacrament.org or 508-668-4700 ext 17 for more information. More information is also available on this flyer.

The theme is ?Social Justice - A Pastoral Priority for the New Evangelization.?  For more information and to register please see the Archdiocese web site,http://www.bostoncatholic.org The Convocation offers the opportunity to meet with representatives from parishes and social justice agencies around the Archdiocese of Boston, to learn more about Catholic Social Teaching,  and how we can collaborate to make a significant impact in promoting peace and justice. Please contact Philip Czachorowski at p.czach@verizon.net if you are interested in car pooling or are interested in starting a peace and social justice group in the Matthew 13 Catholic Collaborative.  We are planning on holding a meeting in early November.

Parish Collaborative FAQs

The collaborative that will take effect in June has left many of us with questions...What will happen to Fr. Tim?  How will the finances of each parish work?  Will the Mass schedule change?   Read these helpful FAQs with answers to these and many other questions.

Daily Mass Schedule

As of June 4th, the Daily Mass schedule for the Collaborative will be as follows. There will be no Communion Services on days without a Mass:

Saint Mary: Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri at 8AM

Our Lady of Sorrows: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Sat at 9AM

Blessed Sacrament: Wed to Sat at 9AM

Are you being called to serve?

In Religious Education, we'd love to have you!  Volunteer as a Catechist (faith-sharing "teacher"), an event planner, or any of our other volunteer position opportunities. Aren't sure if you're qualified to "teach" the faith?  Visit our volunteer table at the Open House on September 14th for more information and speak to a veteran Catechist to find out just how rewarding an experience it can be! Can't make it to the Open House but have questions about our program?  Contact AnneMarie Dion at adion@blessedsacrament.org for more information, or visit our page on the Parish website at blessedsacrament.org/formation.

March for Life 2014

On January 22, 2014, BSS students joined more than 750 young people from the Archdiocese of Boston and  tens of thousands of their peers in Washington, DC, at the 41st annual March for Life as part of the Archdiocese of Boston's ONE Program.

Thank You

to all those who continue to support Blessed Sacrament School so generously!

Established in 1966, Blessed Sacrament School provides a truly Catholic education to children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight, on a "foundation of faith and knowledge."

BSS continues to offer new programs at all age levels, pre-K through eighth grade. The latest this September a 1:1 student iPad initiative  is particularly exciting for students in the BSS middle school. If you are interested in learning more about Blessed Sacrament School or to arrange a visit, please contact Jim Spillman, Principal, at jspillman@blessedsacrament.org or 508-668-2336.
