telephone number,
etc.

Never respond to
messages that are
suggestive, obscene,
or threatening.

Tell a parent or
teacher right away

meet you face to
face or sends you
inappropriate

Never send your
picture or another

safety tips on how to
help protect your
children by following

Do not open email
from unknown
individuals.

Be careful when
opening email
attachments from
anyone unless you
know in advance that
the attachment is
coming or unless you
have confirmed the
subject matter with
the sender prior to
opening the a
attachments. The
attachment may
contain a computer
virus. You can save
attachments to a
removable disk
before opening. Then
you can scan the
disk with antivirus
program before you
open it.

Do not post an email
that violates the
safety and privacy
of others. Speak
with your parents if
you have concerns
about the
appropriate use and
content of a
message.
