Ways to Give

How can I give back to God for all that God has given me?”

A few weeks ago, Fr. Tim and Fr. Mike spoke at all the Masses, asking everyone to increase their weekly giving. The request was simple: expenses have outpaced revenue, for many of the same reasons that it has in your own homes. We asked all adult parishioners to give at least $10 to the weekly offertory, and to increase whatever you give by $5 a week.  In addition, we asked you to consider using envelopes, and to join our monthly Grand Club. The initial response has been good. Our weekly offertory has already increased from about $10,500 to $12,000 a week. Thank you for that. We still have a ways to go in order to meet the $14,000 a week budget mark. If you haven't already increased your weekly offering, please pray about it during this Lent, and consider doing it.

Average Weekly Collection and BTBWe are all in this together...and the future of our parish community depends on all of us doing our fair share, as have so many people before us, in order for Blessed Sacrament to continue to be a community where "All Are Welcome as we Build the City of God."

It's interesting to me that at the same time that we launched an Increased Giving Campaign, so did St. Catherine's in Norwood, and St. John's in Canton. Clearly, the issue of increased expenses is a problem not just for our parish, but for most Catholic parishes these days, so your support is more crucial and needed than perhaps ever before.
