OK, it is a big claim.
But isn’t that what we really want when we try to pass on our Catholic faith to our children? These days it takes more than a few people to do that. Children need to hear about faith from more than their parents. They need to hear it from those whose children are grown with children of their own. From people who don’t have children but care about how people live in our community. At Blessed Sacrament, you can be a role model in faith for children of all ages.

Confirmation Program
Adult facilitators are an important part of our youth's faith development. Adult facilitators co-lead small group discussions for Confirmation candidates with an upperclassman peer minister. Not sure you know enough about the faith or worried about not having the right answers? Willing to put your faith into action and demonstrating Christian living for our teens speaks volumes. Just being someone our youth can talk to about their faith means more than you think. Guidelines and discussion points will be provided for the monthly sessions so little preparation is required of you.
Prefer to work more behind the scenes or as an assistant? Adult facilitators also serve as chaperones for events (service projects and retreats) and help with the pizza dinners held during the Confirmation class.
If you're interested or have questions, contact Margaret, the youth minister, at 508-668-4700x17 or email.
Youth Ministry
This year, the high school youth ministry will be expanding. Open to all high school students, we will be having many field trips, service projects, prayer services, and other social events. Parent chaperones and involvement will be needed.
If you're interested or have questions, contact Margaret, the youth minister, at 508-668-4700x17 or email.
Outreach, Social Events, and Mass Ministries, Oh My!
A variety of ministries peak the interest of our adults. Join a prayer group, the spiritual life committee, or the knitting crew to pray with and minister to fellow parishioners. It's easy to be a liturgical minister since you are already at Mass. Sign up to be a lector, Eucharistic Minister or usher! We're always looking for fun social ideas to bring the community together. These are just few of the ways people can get involved. If you're interested, want more information, or have new ideas, people contact Marie at 508-668-4700x11 or email.
Music Ministry
Blessed Sacrament has talented choirs and is always looking for new members. The Adult Choir sings at the 11:00 Mass weekly during the school year. The Funeral Choir sings for all Funeral Masses of the parish, and the Festival Choir comes together a few times a year to rehearse and sing for large celebrations. The Hand Bell choir is fun way to learn a new instrument and meet new people in the parish.
Already know how to play an instrument? Guitars, violins, trumpets, bongos, anything you can play will be a beautiful addition to the choirs. If you're interested, want more information, or have other ideas, please contact Erica at 508-668-4700x22 or email.
