Confirmation Schedule, 2007-2008
Years I and II
You and your parent(s) have decided that you want to
be confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church. We
celebrate that choice and have designed a two year
program to help you be ready to receive the
sacrament. You prepare to be confirmed at Blessed
Sacrament by completing all the elements in the two
year program.
All Year I and Year II
Confirmation candidates are expected to attend
an Orientation Session with their sponsor or a
parent/guardian.
The Orientation for Year II
candidates is on Sunday, Sept. 16, 4:00-4:30PM,
in the Blessed Sacrament School Auditorium.
The Orientation for Year I
candidates is on Sunday, Sept. 16, from
4:30-5PM, in the Blessed Sacrament School
Auditorium.
This year we have added something
new for the Year I candidates:
Immediately following their
Orientation, all Year I candidates and their
parent or sponsor will celebrate a “Rite of
Entrance” as part of the 5:30 Mass.

Sunday, Sept. 16, 5:30; Rite of Entrance Mass for
Year I Candidates (in the church)
Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007; 4:30-7:30PM
Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007; 4:30-7:30PM

Dec. 10, 2007; 6-9PM
Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008; 4:30-7:30PM
Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008; 4:30-7:30
Sunday, March 16, 2008; 4:30-7:30PM
**Sunday, March 30, 2008(Snow Day); 4:30-7:30PM
*Please note that the December Confirmation Meeting
is on a MONDAY night, not a Sunday night. That is
because we will be participating with other area
churches in hearing a presentation from a national
speaker.
**Also, Sunday, March 30 is a Snow Day Session, in
case an earlier session is cancelled due to snow. If
there are no snow days prior to March 30, this
session will not be necessary.
Retreat Dates
Year I:
Saturday, November 3 OR
Saturday, November 17; 7:45AM-5PM
(The candidates’ small groups will be assigned to
one of the days.)
Year II:
Saturday, January 26 OR
Saturday, February 9; 9AM-7PM
(The candidates’ small groups will be assigned to
one of the days.)
Confirmation for Year II Candidates
Saturday, April 12, at 10:30AM and 1:30PM.
Rehearsals will be held on Thursday, April 10,
between 6 and 9PM. More details will follow in the
spring.
