Parent Information for Religious Education

20010-2011

Parent Orientation

This meeting is for parents who did not have children in the program last year or haven’t been to an orientation in the last two years. This meeting will give you both specifics of the program, including information about Archdiocesan required safety classes, and a chance to talk about the broad issue of passing on your Catholic faith to your children. You can come to either of the two sessions offered, both will be in the school gym:

  • Sunday, Sept. 19, 12:00 to 1:30pm
  • Thursday, Sept. 23, 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Registration Form

Registration for Classes

Complete the registration form selecting which day of the week you would like each child to attend class. All grades run during each of the designated time slots. Please provide all the requested information especially updated email, phone numbers, etc. and return it with registration fees to the parish house by August 30, 2010. If you are registering a child for the first time and the child was not baptized at Blessed Sacrament, we need a copy of the long form of their baptismal certificate.

Class Cancellation Policy

Religious Education classes are cancelled if the Walpole School system cancels school for the day. If Walpole has school and the weather deteriorates late in the day any notice of evening class cancellation will be posted on the Blessed Sacrament Parish web site.

Preparation for the Sacraments

Whether your child is ready for Reconciliation, First Eucharist or Confirmation the preparation for sacraments is separate from other Religious Education programming. Families with children in second, ninth or tenth grades will automatically receive information about the meetings and events for these sacraments. Families with children who have not received these sacraments are invited to participate and should contact either Bill Dittrich or Terry Witherell at 508-668-4700 to be included.
