What is a Peer Minister at Blessed Sacrament?
A Peer Minister is a junior or senior in high school, who has received their confirmation, and wants to help their peers with their own faith journey, towards receiving confirmation.
Peer Ministers can be involved as much as they would like to be!
Here are the areas in which Peer Ministers currently are involved:
Middle School Religious Ed
Confirmation Program
- Co-leading a small group during the monthly Sunday night sessions.
- Being a part of the leadership team for one of the retreats
- Assist in monthly set-up and distribution of food for Confirmation class.
Liturgy
- Lector
- Music
- Eucharistic Minister
Social Events for High School Students
- Helping to plan and organize
Service
- Helping to coordinate/lead service projects or trips
